Our company serves a broad area of central Texas that includes Fayette, Washington, Lee, Austin, Bastrop, Bell and Colorado counties. In addition, we offer consulting services in a broader area if the occasion rises.Round Top Restoration is a small, specialty building concern. We consider projects from $20,000 to $500,000. The bulk of our work is negotiated and is the result of referral. On some special projects, we will participate in a competitive bidding process. We have a simple philosophy that determines our willingness to take on a project. Our expertise is centered around historic and adaptive restoration but we also build non-mainstream new construction,
construct substantive remodeling projects, and take on other specialized endeavors.Our company offers design services and other consultation services. We also serve as a quality general contractor for architects and other design professionals.  Chris Travis, the owner of Round Top Restoration is a recognized expert in remodeling and restoration construction. One of his projects was awarded the T. C. Jester Award for excellence in restoration design in the Houston Heights. His company was named "Remodeler of the Year" by the Greater Houston Builders' Association and his work has appeared in Houston Home and Garden, Builder Magazine, Sun Coast Magazine and Texas Highways. He has appeared on several occasions on television and radio speaking about restoration and remodeling construction. He is also the editor and publisher of the Round Top Register, the newspaper from the biggest, little town in Texas.
